Hotel to showcase everything you need for a good wedding

A BRIDAL fashion show will be the highlight of the Spring Wedding dresses Showcase next weekend at the Ashdown Park Hotel.

For the first time the event, on Sunday, March 11, will feature the latest bridal gowns and outfits for the mother of the bride.

There will be three shows during the day, all set against a backdrop of live music, and visitors will be able to see a selection of designs from White Dresses And Tiaras, based in Ifield, West Sussex.

The fashion show will take place in the Richard Towneley Suite, a converted chapel with the original organ, stained glass windows and working bell tower. Suites at the hotel will be set out for ceremonies and receptions and there will be samples of food from the wedding breakfast menu, plus recommended wines.

Visitors will be able to meet the hotel's team of wedding coordinators and talk to preferred suppliers about wedding dresses and formal suit hire, cars, photography, flowers and entertainment.

Ashdown Park general manager Ben Booker said: "We are following the successful format of previous showcases so couples and anyone involved in planning a wedding can get a real idea of how our suites look for weddings and civil ceremonies.

"They will also be able to find everything else they need for their wedding day under one roof. This year we are delighted to feature live fashion shows for the first time and these will take place at 11am, 1pm and 3pm."
